What is installed
The existing boiler is removed and a heat pump with certified seasonal efficiency is installed, covering the same heating demand and, where relevant, domestic hot water.
Where the saving comes from
The saving comes from the efficiency gap: a boiler converts fuel at below unity efficiency, while a heat pump harvests ambient energy and operates at a far higher SCOP.
How to apply it
Before matching a project to RES060, confirm that the baseline, implemented solution, dates, equipment or areas and evidence fit the scope in the PDF. Then apply its formula using traceable data and collect the required documentation.
Eligibility conditions
- Documented existence of a combustion boiler in service before the works.
- Actual removal of the old unit and evidence of its disposal as waste.
- Heat pump with SCOP or SPF declared to standard and capacity matching the building demand.
- Coverage of the same thermal demand previously served by the boiler.
- Municipality climate zone determined using its real altitude.
- Installation by an authorised company, with an installation certificate.

Mistakes that get the application refused

- Sizing the heat pump below the demand the boiler used to cover.

RES060: frequently asked questions
Does it apply to a home with electric radiators only?
No. RES060 requires replacing a combustion boiler. With direct electric heating, other sheets in the residential catalogue must be considered.
Is a multi-split air-to-air heat pump accepted?
Yes, if it covers the heating demand previously served by the boiler and its seasonal efficiency is certified in the manufacturer's datasheet.
Does the RDL 7/2026 multiplier apply?
The multiplier available for certain heat pumps changes how the generated CAEs are valued, not the technical eligibility of the measure.
How is the old boiler evidenced once removed?
Through earlier nameplate photographs, maintenance or fuel invoices, or the removal certificate issued by the installer.
Does the calculator give the final CAE value?
It gives a kWh/year estimate. The final figure is set using the official sheet, the real equipment data and the documentary review.
