The essentials about CAEs
01What is a CAE (Energy Savings Certificate)?
An Energy Savings Certificate certifies a final energy saving obtained after an energy efficiency intervention under the applicable scheme.
02Do all interventions generate a CAE?
No. Technical, time-related, documentary and ownership requirements must be met. That is why we carry out a pre-analysis before building the file.
03Who validates the saving?
The file follows the verification and validation process set out by the CAE scheme. CAE Economía prepares and coordinates the documentation, without replacing the authorised bodies or parties.
04Can the value be known before the file is reviewed?
Only a conditional estimate can be provided. The result depends on the certifiable saving, the quality of the documentation, verification and the valuation conditions available.
